Australia Crossroads to the South Seas Plate

 In the 1930s the Australian National Travel Association opened offices in the UK and the USA to market Australia. This image, produced in 1939, was aimed to coincide with the start of regular flights from San Francisco to Sydney.

Brisbane Poinsettia Plate

Plate: 15.5cm square

The red poinsettia was adopted as Brisbane’s floral emblem on the formation of a Council to cover the whole metropolitan area in 1925.
